Austin Knights Pathfinders

Pathfinders is a church-centered recreational and spiritual program, designed for both boys and girls, grades 5 through 10, which offers action, adventure, challenge and group activities that produce team spirit. This year we are focused on outreach, with the goal to have each Pathfinder impact one person for Jesus. We are showing them that they don’t need to be preachers or teachers; they can show the love of Jesus by sending a card, a cheerful handwritten note, and uplifting quote or simply being kind to someone they meet.  Most recently we visited the Heatherwilde Assisted Living, where we sang Christmas carols, prayed, and did a drilling and marching demonstration for the residents.

We are currently working to raise funds to go to the International Camporee in Oshkosh, WI in August 2019. Some of our efforts have included working at Sweet Eats Fruit Farm, hosting a movie premier fundraiser, and working on New Year’s Eve to raise money. The Lord has truly blessed our efforts and we are close reaching to our goal. But we still need your help!

You may notice our Pathfinders serving around the church by doing things such as, taking up offering, leading out as praise team during Divine Worship, as well as assisting with the Breakfast Ministry.  Please support our Pathfinders by saying an encouraging word when you see them helping out. You can also support the program by volunteering one hour to teach an AY (Adventist Youth) honor by sharing a skill you have learned with them.  Help them pass on a legacy of kindness, hospitality, industry and ethical responsibility.
