Dear Stonehill Church Family & Friends:

I am excited to start a sermon series with you on The Book of Daniel beginning May 7th, 2022.  Please start reading Daniel chapter 1, the 27th book of God’s Living Word: The Bible.  My prayer is that together we will be led into a deeper knowledge and relationship with The Living God.

If you are a Jew in Babylon, you’ve got reason to be depressed.  Your captors mock you, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion” (Psalm 137:3).  Many if not most of your loved ones and friends are dead — killed in the battle — and the rest of your people are in captivity.  The beautiful temple, in Jerusalem, is now in ruins.

Who can sing songs of praise to God in captivity and living in a foreign country?  Daniel CAN!  Because he was taught from childhood in the one TRUE GOD!  His parents are probably dead, but Daniel had already learned that God is Sovereign. Yes, Daniel is in captivity.  But Daniel is not Alone for God is with him.

Consider This: Nothing happens without God’s permission.  Nothing happens outside His plan.

Theme: Prayer is a necessity in Knowing & Walking with God.  There is a God in heaven!

God’s Blessings,

Pastor John Mutchler

“I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel.  For He is the Living God, and steadfast forever; His Kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall endure to the end” (Daniel 6:26).

Stonehill Bread of Life Ministry

Stonehill Seventh-day Adventist Church is starting a small food ministry – Volunteer pool is needed

We plan to offer free breakfast tacos and prayer to passersby from time to time, from the parking lot on selected Sabbath mornings from 8:30 to 9:30.

Depending on available volunteers, we may do weekly, monthly or just from time to time. There is a mobile food van available with onboard power for crockpots and with portable water, a table, chairs and supplies; we could even take this ministry to other locations on other days.

Our prayer is that this may become a source of outreach for our church to know our community. More importantly it is a way to get to know our surrounding community and share the love of Jesus. We believe God would do this kind of thing for “just one person.”

God’s Living word assures us that there will be blessings not only to those whom we serve, but also to the ones who serve. Your reward is great in the heavens:

"Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered" (Proverbs 11:25 )

"Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  for I was hungry, and you gave Me food . . .’” (Matthew 25:35).

Please Click here to sign-up as a volunteer or contact Lynn Derrick to be added to the pool of volunteers. It is not a commitment on your part to serve every week, just a willingness to be called or texted to see if you are available for a slot on a Sabbath, or for other days and opportunities that may emerge in the future.

Stonehill SDA Church sign.

Dear Church family, I am pleased to announce that our church and school sign committee unanimously voted, on May 5th, their approval for a new and permanent church/school sign. The Bible tells us there are signs all around us pointing of Jesus Christ’s soon return.  I pray that our Stonehill church/school sign will likewise announce to our community the message of Jesus’ love and soon return.  God’s blessings, Pastor John.

Our brothers and sisters in Nguru need help to build a parsonage for the pastor. In Nigerian churches  pastors don't  have their own place to live. The  Stonehill Church goal is to raise $5000 for building supplies by July 2nd. If you feel in your heart the need to help, please mark your envelope "Nigeria Mission Project" or give online.

Prayer Meetings | every Wednesday @ 7 pm

We have our weekly Prayer Meetings, at the church, with the emphasis of knowing God and seeking His divine will. If we call upon the LORD, He has promised in His Word to hear us; “For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers” (1 Peter 3:12).
